New Music Monday: Volume IV

Arfink here once again, bringing you a small selection of music to brighten your Monday. Today’s picks will be a little more varied in sound than my last time around.

Mokhov- Eternal Wings

This piece is a laid back and relaxing tune suitable for day dreaming, imaginary space travel, or basking in that fleeting patch of sun on the rug in the middle of the floor.

Caravan Palace- Clash (Original Mix)

Next up is something you should probably dance to. Yes, definitely. This is called “electro swing” and you’ll want to break dance in your spats and top hat to this.

Joe Hisaishi- Summer

Anime lovers will immediately recognize the sounds of Joe Hisaishi, the famous Japanese composer known best for his work in movies like My Neighbor Totoro or Howl’s Moving Castle.  This is one of my personal favorites by Joe Hisaishi.

Mosaik- Leandi

The last musical selection for this Monday is one I have had in my playlists for almost 4 years now, and which will not be leaving my playlists for a very long time, if ever. It’s calming, beautiful and, dare I say, sacred in tone. Mosaik is simply one of the finest electronic music producers I have ever listened to, and in my opinion he ought to take a seat with such pioneers as Vangelis, Tomita, or Jarre. When people ask me why I like this strange electronic music without words, I usually have them listen to this while praying over some scripture, or the Psalms. Try it. I wouldn’t have ever thought to do that myself, but something about this piece just works as sacred.

I hope you like my picks for the day. Until next time, enjoy. 🙂

  1. GREAT picks!
The “Eternal Wings” is good, but I’m partial to Caravan Palace 😉
